Ferio Tego is set to release its acclaimed Generoso and Elegancia blends with a twist: an additional 22 months of aging. Scheduled to ship on August 27, 2025, these limited-edition Toros return to the market after nearly two years, offering aficionados a refined smoking experience shaped by time and careful craftsmanship.
Originally launched in 2021 as Ferio Tego’s flagship lines, the Generoso and Elegancia are released annually in small batches. For this 2024 vintage, production took place in late 2023, followed by almost two years of rest to enhance complexity and flavor, a concept inspired by the aging traditions of fine wines. “Each year, we strive for consistency in style and structure, but allow the tobaccos to express their unique character,” explains co-founder Michael Herklots. “No two vintages are the same; our goal is to showcase the best version of each blend.”
Both cigars share a 6 x 50 Toro format, with Elegancia produced by the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic, featuring an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The darker Generoso is crafted by Plasencia Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, using a Honduran sun-grown wrapper over Nicaraguan tobaccos. Each comes in a travel humidor with 10 cigars, priced at $240 per box ($24 per cigar), and includes an NFC chip for detailed blend information. Distribution is handled by Davidoff of Geneva USA.
