Cohiba Spectre returns in 2024 as General Cigar Co.’s luxury limited edition offering. First launched in 2018, the Spectre line is known for its rare tobaccos, premium construction, and standout packaging. Though not released every year, each edition garners attention for its exclusivity and craftsmanship.
This year’s version is a 6 x 52 toro featuring a seven-year-aged Connecticut-grown habano wrapper. It’s paired with a Mexican San Andrés binder and a unique filler blend, which includes San Andrés, Vuelta Abajo, and—for the first time ever—Criollo 98 tobacco from Mao in the Dominican Republic.
Spectre 2024 cigars are individually housed in metal tubes with built-in humidification. These tubes are arranged vertically inside an open wooden box that also contains a travel humidor. Each cigar costs $149.99, with boxes of 10 retailing for $1,499.99. A total of 600 boxes were produced, and although the packaging is dated 2024 (MMXXIV), shipping began on June 16, 2025.
According to Cohiba brand ambassador Sean Williams, the Spectre line is meant to challenge the limits of cigar craftsmanship, offering a smoking experience that’s as refined as the cigar itself.
