E.P. Carrillo is preparing to release the third edition of its Pledge of Allegiance line, with cigars shipping to retailers next week. This 2025 edition introduces a new blend and maintains its limited-edition status with two vitolas.

The cigar features a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, an Ecuadorian habano binder, and a filler that combines Nicaraguan tobaccos from Condega and Jalapa, Pennsylvania-grown P41, and a Havana-seed leaf from Connecticut. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. described the release as a tribute to the American spirit, reflecting strength, diversity, and shared values.

Two sizes will be available:

Toro (6 x 54) – $22 per cigar / $220 per box, with 1,776 boxes produced (a reference to the year of American independence).

Rockets Figurado (6 3/8 x 58) – $30 per cigar / $300 per box, with only 249 boxes made, honoring the United States' 249th anniversary this year.

The previous Pledge of Allegiance release had a similar regional tobacco profile but used a different binder and filler combination, including Dominican leaf. The new blend aims to further express the story of Ernesto’s journey from Cuba to the U.S. and his pursuit of the American dream.

The name Pledge of Allegiance merges two other company lines—Pledge and Allegiance—and was the brainchild of former COO Selim Hanono.
