Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is expanding its acclaimed Red Meat Lovers line with a new regular production vitola: the Fritanga, a 6 x 52 box-pressed toro inspired by the Nicaraguan street food tradition of open-flame grilled meats. Priced at $16.25 per cigar or $162.50 for a box of 10, this release continues the brand’s culinary connection, originally established in 2019 through a collaboration between Smoke Inn, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, and the Red Meat Lovers Club—a group known for hosting beef-themed events with a charitable mission.
Blended by Steve Saka, the Fritanga features a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés negro binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania, delivering a profile Saka describes as a spicier, “beefier” expression of the line. Produced at Nicaragua American Cigars S.A., it joins the Beef Stick, Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and Porterhouse formats already in the series. The Fritanga debuted on March 14, 2025, during the Red Meat Lovers dinner at The Great Smoke event in South Florida.
