Joya de Nicaragua has unveiled a special edition for its Antaño CT line: the Gran Consul, a short and stout 4 3/4 x 60 figurado known for its bold presence and complex flavor profile. This format, already familiar to fans of the brand, brings a new twist to the Antaño CT series with its thick ring gauge and balanced intensity.
Crafted with a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, this cigar offers a refined yet robust smoking experience. Only 5,000 cigars have been produced—250 boxes of 20 units each—making this an exclusive release available solely through Joya de Nicaragua’s Club de Amigos partner retailers.
With a price tag of $11 per stick or $220 per box, the Gran Consul joins the Antaño CT collection as its sixth vitola, following previous formats like the Robusto, Corona Gorda, Toro, Belicoso, and Lonsdale, which debuted between 2019 and 2022.
