La Aurora is set to reintroduce its 120th Anniversary Lancero, no longer as part of a sampler, but as an individual release. Previously included in the brand’s Limited Edition Lancero Collection, this refined cigar will now be sold separately and is scheduled to arrive at select retailers by late July 2025.
Produced at La Aurora’s Dominican factory, the Lancero comes in a slim 6 7/8 x 40 format with a signature pigtail cap. It’s a Dominican puro made with a Habano '92 wrapper grown in the Cibao Valley, bound with Olor, and filled with a blend of Piloto Cubano, Corojo, and Olor tobaccos. The cigar is described as medium-to-full in strength and comes individually sleeved in cedar for added elegance.
With only 750 boxes of 20 cigars being made, this release reflects La Aurora's dedication to craftsmanship. Master blender Manuel Inoa highlighted the complexity of the Lancero vitola, which requires a precise balance between blending and rolling. The reduced filler content, he explained, allows the flavor to develop with distinct nuances not found in other sizes, making it a standout choice for cigar connoisseurs.
