A bold new version of Warped’s Corto cigar has begun shipping to tobacconists following its showcase at the PCA trade event this April. The Corto Maduro, a single-size release, brings a deeper and stronger experience to the well-established line.
Marking the 10th anniversary of the original Corto blend, creator Kyle Gellis decided to explore a darker profile. The only format available so far is the box-pressed X46, measuring 4 1/2 inches by 46 ring gauge. It features a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper and is filled with all-Nicaraguan tobacco, including medio tiempo leaves from Estelí, which contribute to its full-bodied character.
While the original Corto line is crafted at Aganorsa Leaf, this new version is produced at NACSA, another factory based in Nicaragua. The cigars are packed in boxes of 20 and are priced at $12.95 each before taxes. Additional sizes are expected to launch later in the year.
