West Tampa Tobacco Co. has released a special, one-time cigar called Dark Time, now shipping to retailers. This exclusive release comes in elegant, black piano-finish boxes containing 10 cigars—and each box includes a cigar cutter inspired by the luxury design of a Rolex Daytona.
Only 2,500 boxes were made, making this a rare find. The cigar is handcrafted in Nicaragua at the NACSA factory and offered in a single 6 x 54 Toro vitola. The blend features a 2019 Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
First previewed at the PCA trade show in April, the cigar is priced at $29.99 per stick and is described as medium-bodied. Co-owner Gus Martinez emphasizes the theme: “Time is our most valuable resource—what better way to enjoy it than with a fine cigar and good company?”
The cigars were rolled back in 2021 to allow for aging that enhances the wrapper's natural sweetness.
