As the 2025 college football season kicks off, OZ Family Cigars has reintroduced its special release, The Cigar Game, created to honor one of the sport’s greatest rivalries: Alabama vs. Tennessee. Known as “The Third Saturday in October,” this historic matchup carries a unique cigar tradition—after each game, the winning team celebrates with a cigar, even self-reporting the act as an NCAA violation.
Back for 2025, The Cigar Game remains a 6 x 56 box-pressed Firsat blend, featuring an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, Ecuadorian habano binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. Produced at Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, it retails for $14.95 per cigar, the same as last year’s edition. A standout detail is its custom sleeve with Tennessee’s iconic orange-and-white checkerboard design, a nod to Neyland Stadium’s endzones.
The main update this year is scale—production has grown from just 300 boxes to 1,200 boxes of 12 cigars. Half shipped earlier this month, with the rest rolling out as the October 18th showdown at Bryant-Denny Stadium approaches. Though not an officially licensed University of Tennessee product, The Cigar Game captures the passion, pageantry, and smoke-filled celebration of this legendary SEC rivalry.
