Casa Carrillo Introduces La Historia Silk: A New Chapter in the Family Legacy

Casa Carrillo is expanding its acclaimed La Historia line with the launch of La Historia Silk, a unique toro (6 x 52) that breaks tradition by being round rather than box-pressed. This project has a special origin: it was inspired and initiated by Lissette Perez-Carrillo, who noticed the growing presence of women in the cigar world. After conversations with female cigar enthusiasts about their preferences, she collaborated with her father, legendary blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, to craft a new blend. Even her daughter Skye joined the process, marking three generations of innovation behind Silk.

The blend features an Ecuador Habano wrapper from Quevedo, paired with an Estelí binder and an intricate filler mix from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. Medium-bodied and elegantly refined, La Historia Silk offers a balanced smoking experience that reflects both tradition and fresh perspectives. Its rounded format and carefully chosen tobaccos set it apart within the La Historia portfolio.

La Historia Silk will retail at $16.50 per cigar and ship in 10-count boxes, with the first release limited to 1,500 boxes. Though it will be a regular production cigar, Casa Carrillo plans to craft it in small, carefully curated batches each year. With its three-band presentation—including a new “Casa Carrillo” foot band as part of the brand’s rebranding efforts—Silk is positioned as a cigar inspired by women, but designed for all cigar lovers seeking elegance, heritage, and innovation.
