Foundation Cigar Co. has officially begun shipping its newest additions to the acclaimed Wise Man line: the Wise Man Corojo Lancero and Wise Man Maduro Lancero. Both vitolas measure 7 x 40, offering aficionados the elegance of the lancero format, but each with a distinct personality. The Corojo version is a Nicaraguan puro wrapped in corojo 99 leaf, delivering a balanced profile of spice, cedar, and natural sweetness. Meanwhile, the Maduro boasts a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper paired with a Mexican San Andrés binder and Nicaraguan fillers, resulting in rich notes of cocoa, espresso, and earth.

Nicholas Melillo, founder and master blender of Foundation, highlighted the personal significance of these releases, noting that the lancero pays homage to his grandfather and his own blending roots. “We’ve refined two of our most complex blends into something truly special, and now it’s time to share that elegance with cigar lovers nationwide,” he said.

Produced by My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the new lanceros are priced at $14.50 per stick or $290 per box of 20. They mark the fifth size in both Wise Man Corojo and Maduro lines, joining the Corona, Robusto, Toro, and Double Corona. First unveiled at the 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show, these cigars further strengthen the legacy of The Wise Man, a brand that originally debuted in 2015 under the name El Güegüense, inspired by Nicaragua’s cultural heritage.
