La Flor Dominicana is set to ship the revamped Suave line next week, marking a bold new chapter for the brand’s very first cigar line that originally launched in 1994. What began as the Premium Line eventually evolved into Suave, and for 2025, nearly every detail has been reimagined—from blends to packaging—while staying true to LFD’s heritage of quality and innovation.
The new release features two distinct blends: Suave Natural and Suave Grand Maduro, offered in five vitolas. Suave Natural comes wrapped in Ecuadorian corojo-seed leaf over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Dominican fillers, available in the Maceo (6 x 48, $8.40), Máximo (6 x 54, $11.80), and Gobernador (6 1/4 x 60, $12.80). Suave Grand Maduro uses a San Andrés wrapper with Jalapa binder and Dominican fillers, presented in the No. 5 (6 1/4 x 52, $11.80) and No. 6 Torpedo (6 3/4 x 54, $12.80).
The rebrand also includes striking red-and-gold packaging adorned with a Paso Fino horse, symbolizing elegance and vitality. “It’s bright and bold yet classic,” said Tony Gomez, likening the design to the refined joy of riding a Paso Fino through the farm while enjoying a fine cigar. With its updated look and refined blends, Suave 2025 is positioned as a modern tribute to the origins of La Flor Dominicana.
