To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Khalil family’s 8 to 8 Cigars is unveiling the Atabey Black Delirios, an exclusive robusto extra vitola measuring 5 3/4 x 55. Produced by Selected Tobacco S.A., the cigar features an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and a filler blend of Dominican and Peruvian tobaccos. Like the Alfonso Extra Añejo and Byron 1850, the Atabey Black undergoes a five-year aging process in cedar- and French oak-lined rooms at the Tabacos de Costa Rica S.A. factory.
Each cigar carries an MSRP of $50 USD, while the 10-count boxes—crafted in Spain by Golden Age Visual Developers and designed as humidors with built-in hygrometers—retail for $500 USD. Limited to 300 individually numbered humidors, the release will be officially launched on August 30 at 8 to 8 Cigars, with availability already open through Casa de Montecristo Chicago’s website.
This marks the second vitola in the Atabey Black line, following the Black Ritos (6 1/8 x 55) introduced in 2023, which ships to select retailers once a year in limited quantities. The line traces its origins back to a 2021 NFT release, where virtual boxes of cigars were sold via OpenSea.io, with proceeds benefiting Cigar Rights of America.
